Tonight 11 GoodGymer's ran 2km to Oxfam Magdalen Street store.
High 5's to Francesca who attended her first session!
It was our first visit to this store for 6 years, and store manager Ross still remembered our last visit!
The tasks was going through a large backlog of clothes donations, sorting out the resell-able quality items from the rags (cheap, worn or smelly!).
'Rag' bags are collected and recycled, and the 'keep' items are then priced up and taken to the shop floor below.
Amoungst my favourites was a vintage looking Welsh rugby shirt. Alina had her eye on a few nice items which she was able to purchase!
After 1 hour many many bags had been emptied, sorted and redistributed. Well done team. It was a great evening and we hope to return in the future!

Four Goodgymer's ran to Branford Green to help local residents dig out a section of a wild border within a local green space.
A good work out was had in the process! And the Goodgymer's work has enabled the local group to sow wildflowers ready for spring! This will help biodiversity of the area.

Today 14 GoodGymers headed to Mousehold Heath for some conservation work improving the biodiversity in this area.
Shout Outs to Piers attending his first task, and Sarah for completing her 50th Good Deed.
We were clearing the slopes on St James Hill of a Broom plant, similar to gorse. Thus opening up more sledging routes in this popular spot on snow days!
After an hour the area had been cleared and the piles of shrub were carried up the hill and out the way.
We refreshed ourselves with hot drinks and biscuits by the coffee van. Well done team!

Tonight 5 GoodGymer's ran and walked 5km along Lakenham Way to pick litter.
This area can see a high level of litter, and we were able to borrow tools and bags from Wild Lakenham conservation group at short notice - thank you!
After 45mins we had filled to large bags of cans, bottles and odd bit and pieces.
The most surprising find was a chrome bike frame, that Jonathan decided to carry home and make use of!
