💃 Ten excellent Goodgymmers came together for the Move Mates ceilidh. A night of dancing and frivolity, it’s certainly one not to miss.
🕺From manning the bar to selling raffle tickets to making up a dance set, us GoodGymmers are versatile in our volunteering skills and enthusiasm.
👋 We were thrilled to welcome Adepemi for her first task with us. Thank you so much for your help tonight, and we’re looking forward to hopefully seeing you again soon.
🎉 We’ve also discovered that incredibly, this was Babs’ 700th good deed! What an achievement, and here’s to many more 🥳

5 Goodgymers made their way to Heslington Park Run on a sunny Saturday morning to support the Move Mates takeover. Hayden set everyone after telling them about the amazing work of the charity, Angela cheered people on from her marshaling spot, Vicky and Jenna expertly scanned tokens and I (Abigail) surprised everyone by not completely messing up time keeping!
A lovely way to start a weekend packed with GG tasks.

The annual Move the Masses Ceiliedh again this year did not disappoint! After the initial panic of not being able to get in the hall, we soon got set up and the punters started arriving
Angela and Hayden did a Stirling effort on the bar with lots of people chipping in to do shifts. We welcomed new runner Evelyn who got stuck in and helped out too.
Some of the more active dances had been requested which saw piggy backs and wheelbarrows, and a ‘basket’. When Michael admitted they tried to get their partners into orbit, it was no surprise that they ended up in a big pile of the floor! More giggles than serious injury hopefully!
The raffle had the usual, unusual prizes and new this year was a game of heads and tails.
The end of the evening soon came round and everyone pitched in to help tidy up. Another great fundraiser!
See you next year!

Friday night saw our second charity ceilidh for Move Mates.
Lots of goodgymers pitched in to help including setting up, serving on the bar, and the fastest tidy up I've ever seen!
There was still times for lots of dancing and the band challenged us with lots of energetic numbers including the usual strip the willow, and finishing with Lady Godiva which involved piggy backing your partner down the line!
The very popular raffle saw Paul Kelly nab the top prize of a deck chair.
Thank you to Leanne for the photos- they really capture what a fun night it was!

8 brilliant GoodGymmers accepted the mission of delivering newsletters for our friends at Move the Masses.
Few photos were taken (mostly because I forgot to ask in time) but the jobs got done, which was the main thing.
Thank you everyone!

Many goodgymers lent a hand at this fundraising event for Move the Masses. Some even tried to be on the bar all night to avoid dancing but by the end the atmosphere enticed everyone in! Aside from the smooth running of the bar volunteers helped set up, sell raffle tickets and clear away. A fun evening all round. See you again next year!
