Last night at GG
Last night there was a slight change to the plan due to the Foodbank having an event on in the evening so we have had to swap weeks. So last night we hit to the streets of Woking to help spread some GG love. With leaflets at the ready we took on some running and threw in some core exercises along the way.
NEXT WEEK We are meeting the leisure centre for some food bank action.
If you have nay vegetables or fruit you would like to grow this year in our allotment then please let me know!

Last night at GoodGym
A fantastic turn out last night for the Foodbank group task. We welcomed Lou to her first Group run, it was lovely to meet you and it would be lovely to see you back!
Last night we met at Woking leisure and I set Adam off to lead the group to the lighthouse in Woking town. He had everyone squatting at the lights, this didn't make anyone look silly! Once at the Foodbank it was straight to work, we had people hoovering and mopping whilst others were busy organising tin cans, all the tins of hot dogs and baked beans with sausages had to be removed and crates of tins were sorted. 20 minutes later and we were done, a quick group photo on the stairs and it was time to head back to the park. Whilst running I was hearing about Sally-Anne's Iron Man training, a couple of 35 crazy first time Iron Man competitors have met on social media and are basically encouraging each other with training etc, all have entered in for the Iron Man in Barcelona later this year - good luck in the training.... I am in training for European Aquathon in June having been confirmed as part of the British triathlon team, but I am amazed by anyone training and completing an Iron Man distance race! We heard a lot about Wayne and James who headed to the hills for some hill training practice leading up to this weekend, if you haven't done the hill loop before then you will need to come along for a session, it's hard and great way to build up strength and stamina. James was taking Wayne out for his first loop experience.... it sounds like Wayne was looking forward to a quiet run, this was not the case.
Back to last night..... Once we arrived back at the park, there was a surprise waiting by the tennis courts! Nick was waiting with cones ready and waiting. With everyone paired up it was time for some increasing shuttle runs whilst the partner worked on some body strength exercises. We hope you enjoyed last night....
next week Isn't on the website yet - but will be. The plan is to help a Bepsom resident and clear his path to the garden. I am just confirming and once this has been confirmed it will be on. The meeting point will be the leisure center.
Community Mission I may see some of you this Sunday at Woking Park , if you would like to volunteer in the Junior Park run then please see the details on the community mission page.
Good luck to everyone in their running this week, if you are racing, training or just going out to clear your head... Keep it Up!

Last Night at GoodGym What a great turn out at GoodGym last night, everyone came in all shades of colours. Meeting at WWF carpark for a nice jog/run to Woodham Parish Church. The temperature outside has definitely made a turn and the wind was not on our side last night.
Arriving at the Parish Hall we were met by Adrian who quickly got us to work. We split into two teams - One working on the kitchen door, sanding and then giving it a coat of undercoat. While the other team squeezed into the foyer and started to turn a shade of white after having to sand the door frames and entrance. After the dust was hoovered up, it was time to give everything a coat of paint. Adam got a free hair dye and came out with highlights in his hair. Sally-Anne decided to do some finger painting instead and coated her hands with paint.
Once finished it made a great difference and really brightened up the entrance. It was time for a quick photo and a run back to the meeting point. I certainly was looking forward to getting warm and tucking into some warm food once home. Thank You to James and Josh for sending us pictures of your dinner during Nandos date night! Very much appreciated.
Next week Please meet at the Leisure Center and we are heading to the FoodBank.

Last night at GG Last night was certainly a cold one. Freezing cold it may have been but that still didn't stop GG members from getting out and helping the community. Last night Nick, Bodhi and team set out to keep Woking clean. Black bags and gloves at the ready. A run along the canal to keep warm and off to the park. A bag of litter collected from the team and a cleaner looking park.
NEXT WEEK remember no goodgym task - instead there will be partying involved.

GoodGym Woking NEWS
Tonight at the Group Run
The last time we attempted the Foodbank it was unfortunately cancelled. This time was a success and we were confirmed and ready to go. We met at Woking Leisure Center and headed for a gentle jog to the The Lighthouse building in Woking Town. The drizzle began just in time and lucky for us we were inside for the evening. With Mandy and Wayne already and waiting for us to arrive we headed straight to work. Tonights task involved us moving crates of food and anything else which could be moved out the way. A deep clean was needed around the floor. With the amount of building work happening around Woking town center and the foodbank in an old building, they do have the problem of mice. With pest control on the case, the poo needed to go. This will allow them to see if the mice have been caught and the building all clean again. Poo watch was on and a good hoover and brush followed by a mop. The poo was gone and floor all clean again! A big well done to everyone, a great team effort!
With a couple of members heading back to cars and home, a group of us headed back to Woking park for a little leg warmer. With a gentle jog to the park, it was time for some lunges. With the legs all warm. It was park loop time... I stupidly said 'go at your own speed'. With Owen and Florent leading the way they were off!
Next week
Next week we should be off to Brockhill, I am just confirming lighting issues as we will be outside.
