14 amazing GoodGymers run, walked, rode their way to Charing Cross to help the amazing GROAD charity give out a Van load of supplies to Westminster's homeless community.

Great to have such a good group out in force to help with the evenings efforts. A new system which helped massively with ensuring only exactly what was wanted went to each individual so allowed many more people to be helped with vital clothing and sanitary supply's.

We had a railing long pop up show room which everyone go to have a look and choose what fitted and met their needs. Great interactions and help to find and get all of what was needed.

On the Van we gave out 60 sleeping bags, 40 pairs of shoes, 50 big bags, 5 folding chairs, 3 tents and 1 radio! Sone great sorting at the back and awesome skills at the to help as many people as possible with a finite amount of donations!

An hour gone in a flash and a huge impact on Westminster's homeless community!

As another year of doing some amazing things draws to a close, we had a brilliant final group session of the year. It wasn't just brilliant because we had a warm inside task, but because we got to welcome to new faces, welcome back some old faces and celebrate all the fantastic things you've been doing.

So, to begin - WELCOME to the group Rhianna and Florian who came for their first session - excellent to have you join us!

Our task for the evening was teaming up with It's A Wrap organisation in their festive drive to make sure no child in Hounslow goes without a Christmas gift this year. Our job was to do the wrapping, so after a few Christmas quiz questions Ibrahim turned up with no fewer than 100 presents for children ranging from 3-16 and many, many rolls of paper.

Before long we were working hard wrapping and labeling. We enjoyed getting a sneak peek at all the fun things kids living in poverty were going to enjoy before too long, from the classic Jenga to swanky headphones to glow in the dark star sets. There were a few wrapping challenges, including the set of footballs, but we stormed through the bags and managed to get the whole lot done just as Ibrahim came back to collect them all. Well done team! You've all helped create a bit of Christmas joy for kids in the area.

After that it was time for our Christmas social, so after a walk, run and bike down to Watermans we settled in for an Indian feast. We also had a chance to celebrate the past year with a little GoodGym flavoured quiz, featuring questions such as :

It's been a fabulous year and that's all down to YOU, whether you're new to the group or a regular, keep on doing good and getting fit. I have a feelig next year is going to be even better and even bigger and I can't wait to see what we can do together!

Next week there is a community mission on Wednesday helping plant baby trees and lots of other things going on across the GG community over Christmas. Our first group run back will be on 4th January and I look forward to seeing you there.
