Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
A Blooming Marvellous 16 tonight at Goodgym Bath to take on a beast of a hill in our 4K run and a mix of tasks at Bloomfield allotments for Transition Bath.
A very warm welcome to Meg joining us on her first Goodgym run and very impressed she was already wearing her Red T shirt. Sarah also joined us for her first Goodgym experience this evening. The headcount during warm up went smoothly for the second time, things are looking up.
A shorter run this week but a good hill thrown in after some seated squats just to reassure the group that the hill wasn't that bad after all. A regroup at the summit with some tricep dips just to get those arms ready for the task.
Virginia was waiting at the far end of the allotments with lots of jobs lined up for the group.
Two groups of four carrying both tarpaulins across to the playing fields to be laid out brushed down and folded up ready for storage, some trying to have a little game of twister whilst the other team were rescuing slow worms that had been hiding amongst the compost in the other one.
Lucy, Steve and Ed got to work at the far end bagging up bark chips and carrying them back to the community allotment, whilst Pascale greeted Lucy, Anne and Sarah joining us in time to enjoy some weeding, a great group of ladies all signing and making Goodgym Bath an inclusive group.
Emma just had time to enjoy a bit of strimming before it was time to pack up and get that group photo whilst there was still light, bringing me nicely into a reminder to start wearing something bright or reflective and start thinking about those head torches. A quick trott back down the hill to the leisure centre for a stretch out and reminder to bring your ID along to the next group run if you'd like your very own running coach to keep you on your toes whilst helping reduce isolation in older people.
Thank you Lucy for tonight's Pun And Pascale for kindly backmarking tonight.
Great work, Great fun and a Great bunch of people .
