A warm Wednesday evening and another Goodgym Group Run/Walk. Jen, Rachel and Jo met at the meeting point and ran, whilst Mel, Louisa, Vicki and Wilson walked and Richard cycled. A great mix of different fitness activities to get to our task for this evening.

We all met at Naomi House where we would help sort the donations for their £1 sale. Or so we thought.... Upon arriving there we found the shop closed and no-one inside to let us in. We waited for a bit in case someone was there and had just closed for a break but that wasn’t the case.

In true Goodgym Portsmouth style, Louisa and Wilson had rubbish bags and litter pickers in their car, and as all of us wanted to do a good deed this evening we decided to do an impromptu litter pick near the local athletics track.

We walked there as a group giving us time to talk and catch up on how everyone was doing and once we arrived we started picking up litter in the park near the track.

Louisa and Sarah used their pickers to collect any rubbish and everyone else collected anything we could taking care as we didn't have any pickers. Mel took the role of photographer and made sure she got everyone's good sides. Rachel and Vicki had a challenge of who could find the smallest piece of litter. Jen collected rubbish from the local playground as the bins in there were overflowing.

We found the usual item of clothing and recycling that Vicki kindly took home to put in her bin. Richard is also a whizz at Wikipedia and answered all of our questions about certain celebrities.

It wasn’t exactly what we had planned, but we made the most of the situation and still had some exercise as well as a good deed.
