Today we were at the Fitness Festival and had 2 good deeds to do. You can read about the first one here
The second good deed was to support the beach clean. We ran down to Speaker's Corner and grabbed some equipment then jogged back up to the sea defences behind The Pyramids. There was plenty to be found in amongst the big rocks. We found the usual cigarette butts, bottle tops and the plastic that holds 4 packs together. Dr Jo found the pants this month! Jo North was determined not to be beaten by the depth between the stones and we almost lost her as she dived in head first to retrieve some plastic. We also found a fishing wire and weight.
Judy filled 2 carrier bags with rubbish very quickly - obviously in the zone after Thursday's litter picking in Kingston Rec.
A BMX rider was trying to have a nice relaxed time before we came round cleaning but he joined in with the spirit and picked up some bits from where he was sitting, he also took our group photo.
Another good deed done, impressive haul in quite a short amount of time.
Then it was back to Castle Field for more promotion, a look around the festival and a game of Twister... You had to be there!
Plenty more fun and games coming up in June - have a look at the listings here
