On a lovely evening at Marlpit Community Gardens, our main task was to pull up and clear the grass around each of the apple and pear trees. We cleared a yard space around each one and then put a nest of dry grass around it but away from the tree.

A few of us also took it in turns to move soil from one space to another.

I always find Marlpit Community Gardens a magical place. There is scent from a variety of herbs, all kinds of consumables that I've never heard of before and all in a lovely setting.

We did get to explore a bit of the gardens too, which we haven't done before. I didn't even know yellow raspberries existed, let alone had a I ever tried one before. I'm happy to say my yellow raspberry virginity has now been broken and I can confirm they are truly delicious.
