Tonight's plan to cover over some graffiti in Southsea was thwarted so Plan B was deployed!
The litter pickers were brought into action and while we waited for everyone to arrive we started picking through the hedges by our meeting point. Someone had had a party and not invited us (rude!) but had left all 12 bottles in the hedge.
We then headed off to bag some other streets and picked up all the usual suspects.
Most interesting finds tonight were a desk lamp and a very old can of food. Maxine won the competition of guessing the contents... Spaghetti hoops. Wilson was excited that Jo had found a golf ball with her name on it.
We did a lap of the park, partly for the mural photo opportunity, and then headed back to our meeting point where a passing GVJ (leader of the council) gave us a thank you.
Not quite the good deed we were anticipating but 2 bin bags of rubbish plus a lot of glass recycled was definitely time well spent.
