... well, the screw wasn't so much loose as completely absent! After unpacking the new planter at Hilsea Station, assembly became more difficult as the fixtures and fittings were missing. DIY Dave was able to work out what was missing so Jane from Community Spotlight has a shopping list to officially complete the task.
Whilst Jane nipped home to bring some compost, to help keep the planter in place, we tried growing our own Dave and Betsy plants. Unfortunately, there was not a lotnof success. We then got our GoodGym on, carrying big sacks of compost and top soil and loading the planters.
Sinéad, Sam and John cleared some of the litter from the platforms whilst sharing ideas and contacts to help with the station greening project.
The rain couldn't quite stay away, and our run back to the Lido was more than a bit soggy, however a few more kms were logged for the January Challenge.

Morning excursion to Tamworth Park saw a lot of mist and frost!
It does make litter picking easier when the rubbish is solid and stuck in place amid the frosty play equipment.
Sadly no interesting finds today!

On my way home from the community centre I stopped off at this playground to give it a tidy.
Due to the British weather there was noone about so I was able to quickly pick up the strewn litter before heading off.
No lost toys or clothes this time, only an empty Blackthorn can that was definitely out of place!

Gave the cupboard under the stairs a nice new look.
The space was very old and shabby looking. So Amy had been out to get some new paint to match the centres new branding and I got to work.
90minutes later I emerged with minimal paint on myself and plenty on the walls making the are look lovely and fresh.
I also discovered an old board that had characters drawn on it. So this was posted to the group chat to get the GG grey matter working

Well done to everyone for getting out there on a drizzly Monday.
I think Jane won the early bird award, out before dawn.
Richard wins the best photo (dog pics are always a favourite with me!)
Val & Judy opted to be social and walked together with a coffee stop, cheers to that idea ☕
Harry proved what Motivation Monday is all about by squeezing a walk in right at the end of the day.
Great work everyone! Same again next week.
