We want to welcome new volunteers to our garden project and also have plans to host an afternoon tea for the community as part of Railway 200. We need to get the garden looking good to achieve both these aims.

So good to be back with Aldermoor Community Farm this evening and with a fantastic turnout. Team work made the dream work for the best short, back and sides for the bushes! Well done to our runners who joined in for a hill session outside the farm before pruning too.
Richard gave us a lovely update on the farm and was ready with gloves and tools for the job. His request for a chamfered bush may have been a step to far.... but we can build up to that! Derek caught his finger on the barbed wire, much to Richards delight as it meant he could put an entry in the accident book.
It was lovely to be joined by Sanat, a new member to Portsmouth Goodgym. Thankyou for coming to our session Sanat, hope you enjoyed it and hope you visit us again soon 😊

We cleared the living room of Ms. J. in preparation for her return home from a hospital visit.
A hospital bed will need to be installed in the living room, so we cleared as much space as we could, which was difficult since it seems she is a bit of a hoarder.
We were joined by a building manager who very politely but repeatedly told us she didn't really want us there but she wasn't allowed to have her employees do the work instead.
We took no additional photos to protect the privacy of the resident.

This month's task focused on clearing overgrown graves and transporting bags of weeds to the chipper. Uncovering the graves long buried under vegetation really felt like discovering lost treasure - really enjoyable, and we had a lot of fun!

What a fantastic session for our 2nd Birthday celebration as we were back on The Farm which we always enjoy.
This time to help clear some weeds and keep everything looking tidy. As the photos will show we did a great job having lots of fun with the sticky plants.
We were very lucky to meet the new additions, Salty and Pepper the miniature horses who have just arrived.
There might be the opportunity to run with the horses on another session!
