Back to the farm for more edging duties this evening. The majority of the team got stuck in edging whilst Helen and I became brushers - brushing away all the debris from the edgers!
We did such a good job we moved swiftly on to the front of the farm ☺

A small group of goodgymers came together this evening to help clear an extremely overgrown planter in a local retirement complex.
We have started off by hacking back as much of the brambles on the bottom corner as possible trying to expose as much as we can before we eventually start digging into and removing root structures so wildflowers can be planted.
It was a nice chatty session with lots of thorns to battle but we look forward to coming back soon.

It will provide a blank canvas for us to start to engage people with local planting and inspire them that they can love where they live!

Fresh from seeing the delights of Millbrook dellb6 joined us at the farm. Tonight we were topping up the maze with topsoil. The maze is looking incredible compared to the wasteland it was when we started building it several months ago and has several flowers in bloom and a snake rock!
We were taking soil from behind the woodland walk and transporting them to the maze site - we couldnt get over how dark it got so quickly!
Danni informed us that soon we will be back on goat mountain duties so definitely something to look forward to

Or in this case the vintage toilet water! Another evening of uncovering hidden treasures while sorting the donations for Rose Road’s pop up charity shop in October. From vintage perfumes to magical heat packs (or magiral heat packs?!) to mix tapes (CDs) to giant pipe cleaners to knitted cardigans of every size. We sorted it all. We hope Rose Road raise lots of money at their sale next month. We wouldn’t be surprised if some GoodGymers sneak back to purchase some bargain “Tweed”!
