Tonight was the last run for the year to help out the 'Forget Me Not Cafe' at St. Edwards Church, the wonderful group that provide a friendly and welcoming environment, suitable for people with memory problems and their carers also people recovering from a stroke or people who feel isolated and vulnerable.

A simple task tonight, to put back the chairs and a quick vacuum after the final meeting for the 'Forget Me Not' group.

The group ran a good 2.5 km to the task, then masked up we got straight to work. We made short work of it, and as soon as it was back to the usual, we were spoiled with Ferraro Rochette chocolates (other chocolates are available).

As we were finished, and we had been treated to chocolate, it seemed only fair that we take a detour adding some kms to our return trip. A lovely run around a park, and a slightly longer run back and we were done - with an impressive 7.25 km tonight.

Just the ONE group task remaining this year - and just the ONE space remaining.

Still additional community missions on the weekends though, Stargarallot, Junior Parkrun & flyering

Forget-me-not Cafe and gardening club
Cafe open for 2 hours a week [but grounds always open] for people living with dementia and their cares, people recovering from stroke, those who are at risk of becoming isolated or lonely

We provide a safe, friendly space for people to meet, have musical entertainment, play table tennis, play draughts, chat, colour, do some art and now wish to extend to provide gardening as therapy. To the latter end we need to clear out a cellar of various bits of rubbish and make it into a storeroom for pots, gardening equipment etc.
