Had a great experience, it was really well organised by super friendly people, I enjoyed having quick chats with folks whilst planting those new little trees! A good workout for sure with 7k there and 7k back home!

Today's task was the start of a big job - laying new paving around the edge of the church so that the whole community garden space is accessible.
We shared around various jobs:
๐ช Shifting the slabs from the other side of the building - check out the pic of Rochelle making it look easy!
๐ Shovelling and wheelbarrowing a load of sand
๐ Evening out the ground and sand
๐ชจ Laying down the slabs neatly - Marco was very precise!
๐ฑ Marcia and Kamal(at his first GoodGym session! ๐ฅณ) were helping to get a new 'trug' filled with compost for a new accessible bed.
๐ Rochelle was also chief cat whisperer
In the end, we laid down 4 slabs, setting a strong precedent for those that tackle the next section!

Marco earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Marco completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Marco was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.
Marco has done their first good deed with GoodGym. ๐คฉ

Marco has done their first good deed with GoodGym.
Marco is a now a fully fledged GoodGym runner. They've just run to do good for the first time. They are out there making amazing things happen and getting fit at the same time.

After a nice little jog, Rochelle, Marco, Alison and I joined Rich outside Elmstead Woods Primary for a quick bit of weeding and tidying up in a little play area/courtyard bit. We met head teacher Cat who had prepared a bunch of tools ready for us to get cracking.
It was super chilly so we gloved up and got straight to it;
๐ Rochelle and Marco were pulling up weeds and gathering leaves in a couple of the beds
๐งน Rich was sweeping up
โ๏ธ Alison was trimming back the bushes
๐ฑ And I was mostly weeding between the slabs
After 30 minutes the space was looking much tidier! We popped our bin bags out the front and took a quick selfie.
Top stuff everyone - It was nice to kickstart the weekend with you!
