14 GoodGymers have supported Fratton Community Pantry with 3 tasks.

Our task tonight was very in-keeping with the GoodGym colour scheme - painting a wall bright red and glossing skirting boards and door frames black!
Catherine, Katie and Laura were Team Red (after Jen was demoted after making a mess), whilst Andy and Dave headed up Team Black.
Tracey undertook a mid-task mission to buy some additional paintbrushes from Asda to make sure we finished the job.
Laura and Catherine ended up in a bizarre big broom / little broom sweep-off, with Catherine creating the new squat-sweeping technique.
We'll be back in the Pantry in a few weeks to finish what we started - will be great to see you there!

Dave and I joined some volunteers from HIVE with the Fratton Community Pantry's painting party this afternoon.
The other volunteers were very pleased with our arrival, particularly as we were tall enough to reach the top borders!
Dave did have to clean up after one Jen-cident dropped paintbrush, hence his face in the photos. Otherwise it was a very successful afternoon!

We welcomed Andy to his first Group Run this evening - thanks for coming along!
On our arrival at the Pantry, Denise the Manager showed us round the surplus section, and some of us came away with some incredibly bargainous dinners!
We then split into two groups - the fillers and the builders. The filling team got to work high and low, prepping the walls ahead of a proposed painting party in a couple of weeks time.
Upstairs, the builders were assisted by Anna's son, Leo, to assemble two sets of shelves using the famous orange hammers. We got off to a slow start, but once we had got the gist of the process we were very rapid with the Rapid Racking! Katie and Jen both practiced a bit of contortion yoga after supervising the "inner" workings of the shelving.
Thanks everyone for a wonderful evening of fun and innuendo - you're all awesome!
