Another busy session at the food bank with lots of food parcels and toiletries distributed. The cake cafe was depleted by the end with homemade spotted dick and custard going down a storm

No sharks this evening, unless they were on a teeny tiny baby-gro. But we certainly had a GREAT task ahead of us.
Alongside some of the Empower Centre volunteers, we were tasked with helping Baby Basics separate their 0 - 6 month clothes and the rest of their stock. The bigger clothing will be donated to aid efforts in The Ukraine and Moldova, whilst the smaller clothes were being re-organised and stashed back on the shelves.
It was amazing how much we got done in such a short space of time! Di was definitely chuffed with her new organised stock room.

The doors opened sharp at 11am at All Saints to a big queue of people, including a cute little sausage dog in need of some top up. An impressive array of delicious looking cakes were demolished by around 70 visitors in record time while there was a bit of a delay at the start of proceedings. Tracey brought in some much needed carrier bag supplies and worked with Lucy on the weigh in and swaps table while Richard had everything in hand packing the crates out back and adjusting the contents to the various food allergies that we had this week. 28 food parcels and 26 bags of toiletries were provided in total.

The volunteers rolled out 23 food parcels and the cafe was buzzing. Homemade broccoli and stilton soup, cakes galore and hot buttered crumpets. The final clothing selection for this food bank went well and there's not much to transfer to its new home.
Thanks to Yvonne for taking some splendid action shots and sorting the attendance list out

There were 8 GGers packing away today and it was like herding cats trying to get everyone together for a group photo. We nearly did, but we lost Pat!

... It knew how to find its inner peas!
There were 8 GGers helping out today, most of us out back making up the 13 parcels. Dave channeled his inner Katie with a Katie name badge, which was less confusing than a 3rd Rob! We were kept busy with lots of visitors for the cafe and lots of swaps. Chickpeas and washing up liquid were popular today.
