Tonight 7 GoodGymer's ran or cycled 5km to Greenfields Community Centre.
This venue is used by many local groups including a vital Baby Bank hub.
We were tasked with painting one of the rooms regularly used by the Baby Bank to donate much needed equipment & clothing to local families.
The room had long been a drab yellow colour, but within 1 hour it had a new frosted look (a bright shade of grey called 'Frosted Steel').
Shout out to Emily who attended her first session!
And happy 10th Birthday to Goodgym Lewisham group (where I attended their first session 10 years ago today)!

Today 14 GoodGymers headed to Mousehold Heath for some conservation work improving the biodiversity in this area.
Shout Outs to Piers attending his first task, and Sarah for completing her 50th Good Deed.
We were clearing the slopes on St James Hill of a Broom plant, similar to gorse. Thus opening up more sledging routes in this popular spot on snow days!
After an hour the area had been cleared and the piles of shrub were carried up the hill and out the way.
We refreshed ourselves with hot drinks and biscuits by the coffee van. Well done team!

Tonight 5 GoodGymer's ran and walked 5km along Lakenham Way to pick litter.
This area can see a high level of litter, and we were able to borrow tools and bags from Wild Lakenham conservation group at short notice - thank you!
After 45mins we had filled to large bags of cans, bottles and odd bit and pieces.
The most surprising find was a chrome bike frame, that Jonathan decided to carry home and make use of!

This morning four GoodGymer's met at St. Andrew’s Church to tidy up vegetation in the graveyard and turn over the compost.
We welcomed Maria, a new GoodGym member on her first task.
There was some excellent compost, which we bagged up so it could be offered to members of the congregation in return for a donation to the church.
It was an enjoyable task on a lovely sunny morning, and Sarah from the church kindly provided coffee.

No snow this week but the Catton lake was back, marshalled by Goodgym own Hitch. As Norwich Parkrun and a few others were cancelled we had a number of tourists joining us, but you definitely needed trail shoes for this course. Regulars were very pleased to see the lake back, some splashing through, others steering a wide berth around it. Much fun. Many Goodgymers attending, Alina, Emily, Ian, Rob R, Bobby, Ralph, Jonathan well done all.
